Fee Based Specialist - AMS Cash Operations - Req. 1900085

Job Summary:
 
Under limited supervision, uses specialized knowledge and skills obtained through experience and/or training to assist with a variety of operational procedures within the department.  May assist with the overall management of an assigned functional area, including collaborating with the management team to identify opportunities for operational efficiency and productivity improvements and assisting with special projects. May train or lead the work of other associates or supervise highly routine work. Detailed instructions and established procedures and prescribed guidelines are provided to perform a variety of tasks requiring some evaluation, originality or ingenuity in making routine decisions. Recommends solutions to moderately complex problems.  Extensive contact with internal customers and external contacts is required to identify research and resolve problems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs a variety of operational procedures within the department, which may include: new fee based agreement processing, system reconciliation, accounts distributions and terminations.
• Answers calls and questions regarding fee based accounts.
• May lead the work of others and provide cross-training, coaching and mentoring, as required.
• May monitors workflows to ensure assignments are completed in an accurate and timely manner. 
• May participate in human resource management activities, including participating in the interviewing and selection, performance evaluation and progressive discipline processes, as required. 
• Identifies and resolves systemic and operational issues.
• Performs a variety of operational procedures within the department
• Assists with special projects, as required.
• Maintains currency in operations and human resource management practices, policies and procedures.
• Operates standard office equipment and uses required software applications.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.


Qualifications


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Knowledge of:

• Advanced principles, practices and procedures of fee based operations.
• Advanced investment concepts, practices and procedures used in the securities industry, principles of banking and finance and securities industry operations and/or financial markets and products, as required by assigned functional area.
• Operations and systems of assigned functional area.
• Fundamental project management tools, techniques and procedures.
• General accounting procedures.

Skill in:

• Ensuring the work of others is completed accurately and on time.
• Identifying and resolving systemic and operational issues.
• Analyzing operational processes and processes and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Operating standard office equipment and using required software applications.

Educational/Previous Experience Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent and four (4) years’ experience in customer service or the financial services industry.
